Job Summary

The Vocational Training Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Planning Officer to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, reports, and budgets, as well as assisting in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements, reports, and budgets
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
  • Conduct feasibility studies on new initiatives
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of clerical and supporting staff
  • Undertake specific projects and tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • A relevant recognized degree, or equivalent professional qualifications
  • At least 2 years' relevant work experience, preferably in sizeable organizations
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Good proficiency in Microsoft Office Software and computerized accounting/procurement systems
  • Good problem-solving, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Be proactive and able to work independently, and meet tight schedules

Additional Information

  • Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic/professional qualifications may also apply
  • Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment
  • The appointee may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours to suit operational needs
