As a Production Merchandiser (Pet Care), you will be part of our GM Living & Sports team, responsible for merchandising activities, including product development, price negotiation, sampling, production, and shipment coordination.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with buyers, suppliers, and internal parties
  • Coordinating with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and monitoring processes throughout the critical path
  • Identifying potential suppliers' improvement opportunities and implementing improvement plans
  • Collaborating with the Quality team on product requirements and performing sample testing
  • Maintaining accurate production statuses using merchandising systems
  • Defining department-level plans and prioritizing projects as needed
  • Executing ad-hoc projects assigned by management

Requirements:

  • Diploma or above in a relevant field
  • Minimum 3 years of solid merchandising experience in relevant categories, preferably in a sizable buying office
  • Familiarity with the Australian market and general merchandise products will be an advantage
  • Solid knowledge of product, market, and merchandising systems and procedures
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to liaise between buyers and factories
  • Proven ability to work independently with overseas buyers
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of commitment and able to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills in English and proficiency in MS Office
