Job Posting Details

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and improving various facilities within the university campus and student/staff dormitories, including mechanical, air conditioning, and basic electrical systems. They will also assist in supervising contractors for system installation, maintenance, and improvement projects. The candidate will be required to work on a rotational basis and provide emergency support when needed.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with air conditioning systems, including central air conditioning systems, water pumps, and exhaust systems, is essential.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant work experience is required. Candidates with less than five years of experience but have completed a recognized apprenticeship training program will also be considered.
  • A valid electrical engineering registration certificate and a registered skilled/trained worker level or equivalent qualification from the Construction Industry Council is required.
  • The candidate must be able to work independently and communicate effectively in Cantonese, Mandarin, and simple English.
  • They must also be able to understand system design diagrams and have basic computer document writing and reading skills, as well as basic English email reading skills.
  • Priority will be given to candidates with a valid Class 1 and 2 driving license.

Contract and Benefits

The contract will be for two years, with the possibility of renewal. The successful candidate will be entitled to a completion bonus, medical benefits, and paid annual leave.
