Our esteemed client, a prominent property developer listed in Hong Kong, is seeking a highly skilled financial professional to join their China-based operations.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting and finance, with extensive experience in managing financial activities for sizable organizations in Mainland China. They should be proficient in providing strategic advice to senior management on finance and operational development, facilitating review of business performance, and ensuring compliance with local statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting and financial activities in one of the Company's operating entities in the Mainland, ensuring compliance with local regulatory frameworks.
  • Provide strategic guidance to management on finance and operational development, leveraging expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Develop and submit monthly, interim, and annual group financial reporting packages to the Hong Kong Head Office, maintaining accurate and timely reporting standards.
  • Maintain effective financial controls, aligning with Group Policy guidelines, to ensure robust risk management and optimal resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to complete interim and annual audits, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
  • Negotiate with local government officials regarding regulatory and compliance matters, including tax, accounting, and foreign exchange issues.
Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must possess:

  • A degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Membership in the HKICPA or equivalent professional body.
  • At least 15 years of relevant post-qualification experience in listed/sizable organizations, with work experience on the Mainland being essential. Experience in Big Four CPA firms is preferred.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and implementation would be an added advantage.
  • A strong understanding of mainland China operations, GAAPs, tax, and relevant statutory rules and regulations.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese, with proficiency in Putonghua being mandatory.
  • Prior experience in stationing in the Mainland is required.
