About the Role

Support the team in working on a variety of investment operations, trustee monitoring, reporting, and analytical matters, including trade order management, valuation monitoring, custodian monitoring, regulatory/management reporting, and financial reporting related to MPF and pension products.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise daily investment operations for the MPF and pension platform, including trade order placement, valuation, and reconciliation.
  • Monitor regulatory obligations, such as cash flow monitoring, CMR requirements, post-trade compliance monitoring by custodian/fund administrator, segregation of bank accounts, custody, and safekeeping of assets.
  • Review regulatory reports and ensure accuracy and timeliness of submission.
  • Review annual audits for the scheme and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and MPFA regulations and guidelines.
  • Liaise with external auditors, perform oversight, and monitoring on custodian, fund administrator, and fund managers for regular service review.
  • Coordinate audit visits by external auditors and internal audit teams and take proper follow-up actions on issues identified from the visits.
  • Analyze fee and expenses, cash flow monitoring, fund performance, and other fund-related information.
  • Coordinate and review reporting for group consolidation/management reporting/marketing purposes.
  • Contribute innovative initiatives to streamline work processes and improve workflow.
  • Assist in implementing new funds and automation projects related to order processing, valuation, and reporting for MPF and pension funds.
  • Develop reports to provide insights to business on catalysts for investment activities.
  • Assign and monitor tasks and projects to ensure completion within planned schedules.
  • Ensure regular investment reporting, regulatory returns, and year-end financial statements are prepared accurately and submitted on a timely basis.
  • Liaise with various external parties, including banks, service providers, investment managers, custodians, auditors, legal, consultants, and others.
  • Communicate with MPFA/SFC and respond to inquiries.
  • Support ad-hoc projects assigned by supervisors.
Requirements:
  • University graduate, preferably majoring in business or finance-related subjects or equivalent.
  • Over 6 years of relevant experience in investment reporting/fund operations, including trade processing, settlements, and valuation.
  • Familiarity with MPFA and other regulators' requirements on MPF funds.
  • SFC RA 13 License Representative Qualifications.
  • Collaborative, responsible, detail-minded person with a positive attitude, able to manage stress, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered as Senior Analysts.
  • Immediate availability or short notice will be an advantage.
