IT Portfolio Director

This position will identify synergies between IT projects to optimize project costs. This position will also drive IT run costs to stay flat with business growth and identify sustainable savings with IT projects that transform the way we work.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead all IT project managers and derive a proper project management framework to ensure consistency in project execution and reporting.
  • Drive projects to focus on business value delivered instead of fixed project scope, time, and cost.
  • Reuse/combine project tasks/deliverables to ensure synergy amongst projects for cost/time savings.
  • Ensure all IT projects targeted to enable business growth have no/minimal incremental run costs with the growth of the business.
  • Ensure all IT projects targeted to transform the tech stack/the way we work result in sustainable reductions in run costs.
  • Define, track, and communicate business outcome targets to senior stakeholders.
  • Decide on project priorities based on project dependencies, synergy between projects, and business priorities.
  • Lead IT finance management for projects relating to business growth (keep IT costs flat) and transformation (identify sustainable IT run cost savings).
  • Coach and manage all IT project managers to deliver standardized execution and reporting with project synergy.
  • Monitor and track external vendors' financials especially during renewal.
  • University graduate or above with a preference in Computer Science or Information Security related fields.
  • At least 8–10 years of working experience in information technology roles focusing on IT transformation, Project Portfolio Management, and IT Finance Management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to translate technical outcomes into business terms easily understood by senior management.
