Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Services Operations Specialist to join our team in the Transaction Processing Division.

Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading provider of settlement and related securities services for cross-border transactions. As a Financial Services Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for handling cash and settlement instructions, resolving queries, and ensuring timely execution.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Process clients' cash correspondent cash instructions accurately and efficiently.
  2. Repair and follow up on incorrect or incomplete instructions with clients via queries.
  3. Monitor outflow of payments and run risk control checks to ensure accurate processing.
  4. Ensure cash and settlement instructions are processed accurately and on time.
  5. Process cancellation requests from clients for their cash and settlement instructions.
  6. Coordinate daily cash and securities realignment requests with Clearstream.
  7. Analyze and solve escalations or investigations together with experts and/or management.
  8. Liaise with APAC cash correspondents and depositories to resolve queries.
  9. Provide support to Client Services for cash and settlement-related queries.
  10. Propose and implement new tools and applications to improve efficiency and productivity.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. A strong understanding of financial products and associated cash and settlement processes.
  2. The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing among peers.
  3. Excellent multitasking skills in a fast-paced deadline environment with good priority management.
  4. Attention to detail and accuracy at all times.
  5. Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  6. The ability to work autonomously, be open-minded, and a quick learner.
  7. Self-motivation and the ability to work effectively with different teams.
  8. Prior experience in cash operations and/or settlement operations is a plus.
  9. Fluency in English and other languages, with Mandarin being a plus.
  10. Knowledge of SQL and advanced Excel (Macro/VBA) skills is a plus.
