About the Role

We are seeking an experienced audio editor to work part-time on our ambitious podcast franchise, The Big Take. This role will be responsible for editorial direction, structure, and narrative arc of Big Take podcast episodes.

Responsibilities
  • Factual representation, editorial direction, and narrative arc of Big Take podcast episodes
  • Collaboration with show Executive Producer, Deputy, and hosts on episode decision-making related to journalism, ethics, and narrative storytelling
  • Line editing episodes and final decision-making on journalistic or audio calls
  • Pitching and developing episodes with producers, Bloomberg reporters, and show leadership
  • Mentorship and training of show producers on journalistic and writing-for-audio best practices
About You
  • At least 8 years of journalism experience, including minimum 5 years of editing experience
  • Experience in editing narrative storytelling
  • Excellent news judgment and a sharp editorial ear
  • AUDIO experience and experience working in a newsroom or similar environment
  • Flexibility and thoughtfulness in decision-making
