About the Team:

We are seeking a Regulatory Affairs Expert to join our team at Allianz Global Investors. As a key member of our Investment Compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all our activities in Asia Pacific comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Provide guidance, advice, and training to staff members on investment compliance matters.
  • Analyse and monitor pre-trade requests, compliance monitoring activities, and report findings.
  • Collaborate with the Global Sanctions Coordinator on economic sanctions matters.
  • Support guideline coding, review of pre-trade guideline breach alerts, and analysis of post-trade guideline breaches.
  • Perform outsourcing controlling activities as needed.
  • Lead or participate in internal compliance reviews.
  • Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management.

Key Requirements:

  • University degree in law, business management, or similar.
  • 6+ years' experience in the financial industry with a focus on asset management, governance functions, and portfolio management.
  • Sound understanding of current issues affecting the financial services industry and knowledge of operational and regulatory frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of Bloomberg is preferred.
  • Experience with investment guidelines coding is preferred.
