About the Position

The Division of Social Science at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill a position in Sociology. As a leading research university with an international faculty, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive academic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Sociology
  • Conduct research in Sociology, with a focus on cross-disciplinary topics and computational or quantitative social science
  • Develop and maintain a strong research program, with a focus on publishing in top-tier journals
  • Contribute to the development of the Division's research agenda and strategic initiatives

Requirements

  • PhD degree in Sociology or a related field
  • Strong research and teaching record, with a focus on Sociology
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and diverse academic environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
