Job Purpose:We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team and contribute to the delivery of our group's general business financial reporting, statutory reports, and projections.
Main Responsibilities:- To ensure all accounting and regulatory issues related to our general insurance business are properly addressed and resolved.
- To propose and implement effective procedures and systems to enhance operational efficiency, effectiveness, and internal control.
- To collaborate with various operating departments on business and accounting matters, fostering a culture of open communication and cooperation.
- To review and approve management controls, prepare audited accounts, tax returns, regulatory returns, and daily vouchers/journals, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- To support the production of RBC and IFRS 17 reports, providing valuable insights and expertise.
- To undertake ad hoc projects, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- University graduate in Business or Accounting, with a preference for qualified accountants.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and/or auditing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in the finance services industry.
- Extensive knowledge of insurance business, sound accounting and regulatory expertise, and a passion for delivering high-quality results.
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
