Robert Walters has a high-profile opportunity for an accomplished professional to join the client as Senior Vice President, Transactional Excellence. This key role will be responsible for leading Deposit and Payment Operations.

This position offers a chance to work in a truly international and multi-cultural environment where individuality is valued and respected. Our client is a global banking leader with a rich history spanning 360 years and a network covering over 50 markets worldwide.

The ideal candidate will possess sound knowledge of Faster Payment Systems and domestic remittance operations in Hong Kong. They should also have strong coaching, mentoring, and leadership skills to lead and manage the team effectively.

A good understanding of AML requirements applicable to payment operations is essential. Substantial experience in high-volume payment transactions with banking systems, along with excellent computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Office Excel and Word, are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations of the team and relevant activities and systems to ensure all transactions are processed, settled, and reported in a timely manner.
  • Lead project and act as representative of Deposit and Payment Operations.
  • Perform reconciliation of daily pending/unprocessed/irregularity transactions.
  • Support determination of level of support on new product offerings and managing risk profile for the department.
  • Investigate operational incidents/errors and prepare draft reports, providing countermeasures/recommendations for improvement to mitigate risk in the future.
  • Support development of department's strategy, including reviewing and re-engineering current procedures/workflows to enhance efficiency of operations.
  • Participate in ad-hoc exercises in response to inspections and examinations by auditors, authorities, or regulators.
  • Develop and maintain strong stakeholder management with key stakeholders both within the client's organization and externally.
  • Deliver high quality of service to enhance function's reputation and meet customer expectations.
  • Work in partnership with various departments to consult on complex transaction issues.
  • Collaborate with Compliance when transactions may be subject to restrictions.
  • Update Branch operations manual and all policies to ensure alignment with regulations.
