Job Summary:

  • This is an exciting opportunity for a Compliance and Reporting Expert to join our team at OCBC.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of regulatory reports, analyzing financial data, and providing recommendations for improvement. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with MAS, HKMA reporting requirements as well as disclosure notes.
  • You will analyze the bank's financial performance and provide timely and accurate reports on HKMA Returns and Surveys, Head Office reporting, local financial reporting and disclosures of the Bank, Internal management reports, and other ad hoc reports.
  • You will develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
  • You will provide new reporting and regulatory changes updates to senior management.
  • You will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure meeting all regulatory reporting requirements.
  • You will implement system enhancements and data quality improvements.
  • You will participate in ad hoc projects.

Requirements:

  • You must have a university degree or equivalent.
  • You should have sound knowledge of MAS and HKMA reporting, knowledge of SQL is preferable.
  • You should have minimum 6 years' experience in bank accounting/reporting or equivalent especially in HKMA Rules & accounting standards.
  • You should have strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills in both Chinese and English.
  • You should have thorough knowledge of financial accounting principles and the bank's accounting system, HKMA/MAS and accounting regulations.
