Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Development Manager/Assistant Application Development Manager to lead our IT projects, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables. This is a key role in driving the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Manage and implement IT projects from initiation to delivery, utilizing project management methodologies to ensure successful outcomes.
  • System Design and Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and support application systems that meet business requirements.
  • Project Governance: Establish and maintain project governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and standards.
  • User and Vendor Collaboration: Work closely with users and vendors to analyze system requirements, estimate effort, design, develop, implement, and test banking projects.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and dependencies across projects, taking proactive measures to mitigate issues and resolve problems.
  • Change Control: Effectively manage change control processes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot technical issues, provide recommendations for resolution, and collaborate with developers to fix problems.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of application development experience in Banking Systems, with at least 5 years of solid project management experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Linux, J2SE, J2EE, database design and programming in Oracle, Apache web server, IBM WebSphere, IBM RAD, and IBM Rational ClearCase.
  • Soft Skills: Strong presentation, negotiation, organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently, under pressure, and adapt to changes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record of designing, running, and managing sizable banking projects.
  • Cloud Experience: Familiarity with cloud computing will be an advantage.
  • Languages: Proficiency in both Chinese and English, with Mandarin being an asset.
