Bank of China - Senior Application Development Manager
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Application Development Manager to join our Information Technology Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting our bank application systems, including web application systems, mobile apps, and backend systems.
About the JobThis is a full-time position that requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and experience in Cloud and Microservice architecture. You will work closely with project managers to ensure seamless implementation of key projects and troubleshoot problems to propose recommendations for issue resolution.
Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and support bank application systems, including web application systems, mobile apps, and backend systems.
- Participate in key projects for business expansion, ensuring seamless implementation.
- Troubleshoot problems and propose recommendations for issue resolution.
- Assist project managers in project management.
- Implement E-Banking platform and E-Banking Mobile App.
- Facilitate user requirement gathering and recommend best practice solutions.
- Develop, test, maintain, and provide production support for system development.
- Prepare technical documentation.
- Degree or above in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- 10+ years of relevant IT experience, preferably in Banking Industry.
- 3+ years of experience on Cloud and Microservice architecture.
- Strong experience in Java development, web application development, mobile app development, and complete software development life cycle.
- Good knowledge of Java, J2EE (JSP/Servlet), JavaScript, HTML5, Struts, XML, CSS, AJAX, jQuery, shell script.
- Experience with system development on Linux platform.
- Experience related to DevSecOps, API/Microservice development in Java, SpringBoot, OpenShift, Istio, Public (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.), or Private Cloud platform, Maven, ELK, GitLab is a plus.
- Knowledge of Oracle, DB2, MySQL, MongoDB, WebSphere, MQ is an advantage.
- Project experience on transformation to Cloud or Microservice is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Good command of written English and Chinese.
- Good command of spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
