Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to expand Jefferies' private credit and debt capital markets business in Asia, with a focus on the SEA region.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to identify market opportunities, assess risks, and implement effective strategies to maximize profitability and market share.
  • Originate private credit opportunities across various sectors, including corporate loans, mezzanine debt, distressed debt, and special situations.
  • Structure and execute private credit transactions, ensuring optimal deal structures and risk management frameworks.
  • Foster relationships with investors, corporates, and other key stakeholders to drive business growth and expand Jefferies' private credit offerings.
  • Liaise with internal teams, including legal, compliance, and risk management, to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to internal policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support deal origination, due diligence, and credit analysis processes.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior team members.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in private credit, investment banking, capital markets, or a related field, with a strong focus on structuring and experience within the SEA region.
  • Proven track record of successfully originating and executing private credit transactions across various sectors.
  • Strong understanding of private credit term sheets, credit analysis, risk assessment, and deal structuring within the Asia market.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks is essential.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to collaborate effectively and support junior team members.
  • Excellent business acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, investors, and corporates.
  • Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
