About the Role

The Nature Conservancy is seeking a skilled Ecological Solutions Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and leading complex projects that contribute to our 2030 goals.

As an Ecological Solutions Manager, you will build the evidence base through academic partnerships, demonstrate NbS site projects, and engage with government, local communities, and other parties to incentivize the uptake of NbS pathways such as coastal wetland restoration.

This is a full-time, fixed-term position (three-year) with the possibility to renew. Candidates with more experience and qualifications may be considered as Senior Ecological Solutions Manager.

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams towards a desired outcome.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity in handling confidential information.
  • Develop and implement new initiatives to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
  • Ensure programmatic commitments, Conservancy policies, and procedures are met.
  • Manage project budgets and assist with budget development.
  • Manage multiple complex projects, including setting deadlines and ensuring accountability.
  • May manage or participate in complex negotiations.
  • Travel occasionally and work long hours as needed.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree and 5 years' experience in conservation practice or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Supervisory experience, including motivating, leading, and managing performance.
  • Experience in partnership development and managing project teams.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to influence and develop conservation policy.
  • Excellent communication skills via written, spoken, and graphical means.
