Job Responsibilities:
As a key member of the Financial Accounting Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of HKMA returns. This involves conducting thorough checks and verifications to guarantee that all reports meet applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements for banking companies and listed entities, drafting accounting policies and procedures manuals, and participating in various accounting-related projects such as system enhancements and user-acceptance testing.
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines
- HKIB Certified Banker would be advantageous
- Qualified accountant
- At least 5 years of experience in the financial reporting function of a banking company
- Familiarity with HKMA requirements, including banking returns, listing rules, and regulatory requirements applicable to banks and listed companies
- Previous experience in system implementation of accounting systems would be beneficial
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work under pressure
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese
