Narrative Animation Faculty Position

The selected candidate will engage in teaching narrative animation and will be part of a well-established animation program supported by a dedicated faculty team. The individual is expected to contribute significantly to educational activities at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, mentor postgraduate research students, and play an integral role in the development, management, and design of the curriculum. Additionally, maintaining an active research profile, pursuing external funding opportunities to support research initiatives, and providing service to the School and University governance are essential aspects of this role. The appointee will also participate in professional engagement, networking, and outreach activities that enhance the academic and professional reputation of the School.
Qualifications
A PhD in relevant fields, accompanied by exceptional professional credentials, is required. The candidate should demonstrate a robust history of creativity and innovation in narrative animation.
For those being considered for the rank of Associate Professor or higher, the following additional qualifications are necessary:
- Proven ability to assume a leadership role in one of the School's primary areas of learning and research;
- Experience in university-level teaching, with a focus on curriculum development, interdisciplinary programs, and postgraduate supervision;
- Documented success in collaborating with industry partners.
Compensation and Benefits
The remuneration package will be competitive within the market and based on individual performance. Comprehensive benefits include gratuity, leave entitlements, medical and dental coverage, and relocation assistance where applicable. The initial appointment will be on a fixed-term contract.
