The Job
As a Senior Merchandiser, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing merchandising strategies that drive revenues and margins. Your responsibilities will include planning and executing daily merchandising duties, collaborating with buyers and clients, and communicating with the Sales Teams about product development and orders. You will also work closely with manufacturers and teammates on product sourcing, development, quotations, sampling, and bulk order follow-ups. Additionally, you will excel in price negotiation and problem-solving skills, clearly communicate with suppliers about lead times, and ensure all aspects of product compliance and quality standards. Your experience should include at least 5 years of merchandising experience in trims, packaging, or a related field, with proficiency in English, Chinese, and Mandarin. Independent work experience and possible travel to China or overseas manufacturing locations are also required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must have excellent communication and negotiation skills, be able to work independently, and have a solid understanding of merchandising principles. You should also be proficient in using software applications relevant to the position and have a strong attention to detail. In addition, you must be able to travel occasionally to visit suppliers and attend industry events.
