About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Part-time Research Assistant I or II to join our team at Hong Kong Metropolitan University. The successful candidate will be appointed on a part-time contract and will be responsible for performing quantitative data analysis, writing reports for statistical results, providing assistance in project coordination, and performing other duties as assigned by the principal investigator.

Key requirements include a bachelor's degree (research assistant II) or master's degree (research assistant I) in statistics or a related discipline, familiarity with quantitative analysis and relevant tools, preferably experience in research works, and good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performing quantitative data analysis (including both parametric and non-parametric tests);
  • Writing reports for statistical results;
  • Providing assistance in project coordination; and
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the principal investigator.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree (research assistant II) or master's degree (research assistant I) in statistics or a related discipline;
  • Familiarity with quantitative analysis and relevant tools, e.g. SPSS;
  • Preferably have experience in research works;
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; and
  • Detail-oriented, hardworking, responsible, and able to meet deadlines and work independently.
