About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a skilled Technical Manager to join HKT's Facilities Management team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and providing technical support to our regional teams and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage annual budgets and budget controls to align with business strategy.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure quality control and auditing standards are met.
  • Provide technical support to regional teams and customers, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Analyze and prepare technical specifications and drawings for improvement or upgrading projects.
  • Implement, control, and review maintenance contracts.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and government departments, on technical matters.
  • Update and record assets using computerized systems.
  • Establish and manage compliance with repair and maintenance quality standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve current service levels.
  • Conduct site inspections for risk assessment and report with improvement plans.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Degree or above in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering, with a minimum of years of practical experience in repairs, maintenance, and installation of E&M facilities, particularly in MVAC systems, and at least 5 years of experience in a managerial role.
  • Thorough understanding of local regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a good command of English and Chinese.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, with knowledge of AutoCAD preferred.
  • Professional qualifications, such as Chartered Engineer or Corporate Member of HKIE, CIBSE, or BSOMES, are desirable.
  • Candidates with less experience may be considered for the role of Assistant Technical Manager.
