Assistant Professor Positions in Physics Research

The Department of Physics is seeking applications for multiple tenure-track faculty roles at the Assistant Professor level.
We are particularly interested in candidates specializing in experimental research areas such as quantum matter and quantum information, which includes quantum and low-dimensional materials, materials exhibiting strong electronic correlations, cold atom experiments, quantum optics, and technologies enabled by quantum mechanics. Additionally, we invite applications from theoretical physicists with a focus on condensed matter theory, quantum science (preferably with an emphasis on atomic, molecular, or optical techniques), statistical physics, neural networks, or data analytics.
Applicants are required to hold a PhD in physics or a closely related discipline, demonstrating a strong track record of research accomplishments.
For candidates with outstanding research credentials and leadership experience, appointments at the Associate Professor level or higher may be considered.
Successful candidates will be expected to undertake teaching duties for both undergraduate and graduate courses, while also leading active research initiatives. More information about the Department can be found on our website.The starting salary will be competitive and aligned with the qualifications and experience of the selected candidates. Comprehensive fringe benefits, including medical and dental coverage, annual leave, and housing assistance, will be provided where applicable. The initial appointment prior to tenure is typically structured as a three-year contract, with a gratuity awarded upon successful contract completion.
