We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our team at FastLaneRecruit. As a Senior Bookkeeper/Accountant, you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of our company.

Job Overview

This is a senior-level position that requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in the oil & gas or equipment rental industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and receipts.
  • Reconcile bank statements and company accounts on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and compliance with local and international accounting standards.
  • Prepare and submit monthly and annual financial reports to management, highlighting key financial trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with Hong Kong tax regulations by preparing and filing tax returns in a timely manner.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and invoicing to maintain positive relationships with vendors and customers.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insightful recommendations to optimize company expenditures and revenue streams.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants as needed to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Streamline financial processes and implement internal controls to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support operational decisions and drive business success.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; HKICPA or ACCA qualification preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, with experience in the oil & gas or equipment rental industry considered a plus.
  • Familiarity with Hong Kong financial regulations and accounting practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as MYOB, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.
