We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our Underwriting and Credit Bureau Management team in Wealth Management. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction and operational excellence of our underwriting and credit bureau functions across 11 Asian markets.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the transformation agenda in Asia for Digital Lending Originations journeys on behalf of Underwriting and Credit Bureau Management, partnering with Regional and Market stakeholders to design, build, and deploy best-in-class frictionless lending originations journeys across key growth/priority markets.
- Ensure the Credit Quality of new business booked meets the Risk Appetite stated for each market, providing feedback to Risk Policy teams to streamline policy requirements, and working closely to improve straight-through-processing and customer turnaround times while maintaining the quality of the portfolio.
- Maintain strong oversight of Underwriting Operations performance, including all key performance and risk indicators (KPIs and KRIs), ensuring global standards for Underwriting Operations are followed across all markets, and any exceptions are critically reviewed before making exception decisions.
- Drive an inclusive, high-performing, and collaboration-focused culture within the regional and market Underwriting/Credit Bureau teams, where individuals are highly engaged, meet the highest standards, and proactively collaborate with other functions and teams, putting the customer at the center.
- 15+ years of work experience, with at least 7-10 years of experience in Credit Risk, Underwriting, Originations, Credit Lifecycle management, or Lending Transformation.
- Past experience in Retail Banking, with a core retail banking function such as Credit Operations/Underwriting, Credit Risk, Banking Operations, Product Management, Analytics, and Data Management across customer life cycles.
- High energy and results-oriented, with strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated experience in navigating complex organizations and influencing senior management, with experience in managing cross-functional and cross-regional stakeholders.
- Customer-centric approach with a focus on delivering good customer outcomes while managing multiple, complex dimensions across the credit process cycles.
- Ability to frame and deconstruct ambiguous problems and drive execution and delivery.
- Experience in systems, operations, technology, and change management, with the ability to act swiftly and think innovatively.
