VP, Wealth Credit Management Underwriter

Citi is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credit Risk Management Specialist to join our Wealth Credit Management team in Hong Kong. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients with lending requirements, ensuring that all credit decisions are made in accordance with Citi's Credit and Product Standards, policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Act as 1st Line of Defense job role and work closely with Business Partners in Lending and Client Management
- Assist Lending Advisors with preparing Credit Greenlight memos (as applicable)
- Full credit underwriting with appropriate risk return characteristics based on Citi's Credit and Product Standards, policies and procedures
- Preparation of Credit Applications ensuring accuracy and completeness of data
- Financial Analysis including cash flow statements
- Collateral Evaluation covering investment portfolios, commercial real estate, art, aircraft and other asset classes
- Prepare and negotiate credit documentation for facilities, including liaison with internal and external legal counsel, as required; as well as undertaking the annual review of documentation
- Prepare and review facility covenants
- Assist in Portfolio Management, including Annual Credit Reviews, covenant monitoring and compliance, waivers and extensions and all related system maintenance with the Data Management Teams.
- Problem Recognition and assisting with classified loans remedial management
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Credit Risk Management Specialist with a strong background in credit analysis, financial structuring and execution, and risk management. You should have a Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience, 6-10 years of experience, and strong knowledge of Citibank's Credit Policies, Product Programs and Citi Policies. You should also have excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, good negotiation skills, and strong initiative and interactive approach to problem solving.
