Job Description

The Hong Kong Genome Institute is seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Support Engineer to join its team. As a key member of the IT department, you will be responsible for providing front-line IT solutions to internal users, addressing their inquiries via calls and emails, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and IT services issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and effective IT support to internal users
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and IT services issues
  • Support Windows desktops, Microsoft Office, business applications, and peripheral devices
  • Manage user accounts and access control
  • Maintain IT equipment, servers, and basic network connectivity
  • Assist with server troubleshooting and Active Directory administration
  • Track and update support requests in the service desk system
  • Manage hardware and software inventories
  • Collaborate with other members of the IT Helpdesk team on technical support and system implementation
Requirements
  • A diploma or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields
  • At least 2 years of experience in IT support
  • Proficiency in administering Microsoft 365 products
  • Strong problem-solving skills, a sense of responsibility, and a team-oriented attitude
  • Availability to work on weekends as needed
