Job Description

The Financial Risk Specialist will be responsible for performing credit evaluations and risk assessments on commercial credit proposals and reviews.

  • Provide recommendations on applications and responses to waiver requests.
  • Coordinate with relationship managers for matters relating to credit applications; provide input on structuring more complicated transactions.
  • Ensure efficient turnaround of credit processing.
  • Identify and drive process improvements and other initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree holder, preferably in finance, accounting, or other business-related fields. CFA, CPA, or FRM is a plus.
  • At least 2 years of solid credit assessment experience in sizable financial institutions with great knowledge of trade finance, commercial lending, lending guidelines, and market credit practices.
  • Strong analytical skills, report writing, and problem-solving skills with logical credit judgment.
  • Good team player with tactful interpersonal and communication skills; self-motivated and detail-minded with a strong risk control sense and analytical skills.
  • Fluent in English and good command of both spoken and written English.
Salary and Benefits
  • This role comes with a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
