Professional Affairs Manager

Job Summary
CooperCompanies is seeking a highly skilled Professional Affairs Manager to lead the development and execution of strategic partnerships in the Hong Kong market. This role will be responsible for shaping the company's eye health strategy, partnering with local government, professional associations, and eye care practitioners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Hong Kong professional strategy in line with the company's overall business objectives.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with industry associations, academic institutions, business owners, and key opinion leaders to shape the professional environment and raise primary eye care standards in Hong Kong.
- Develop education materials, toolkits, case studies, and trials to support new product launches and ensure strong representation in professional publications.
- Champion and develop internal capability to ensure appropriate technical and clinical training, knowledge, and assessments are carried out in Hong Kong cross-functional departments.
- Lead the local claim development and approval process to ensure all technical and clinical information in company materials are factually correct and claims are fully substantiated for both internal and external communications.
Requirements
- Good understanding of optometry, ophthalmology profession, and clinical practice experience is desirable.
- Able to develop and execute professional strategies that align with the company's business objectives.
- Clinical understanding of patient eye health journey.
- Strong key stakeholder management engagement across country and region – develop and maintain relationships and partnerships.
Work Environment
- Normal office settings.
- Team collaboration across Hong Kong functional stakeholders required.
Experience
- Optometry-related experience preferred.
- Clinic or retail experience preferred.
- People and team management skills.
- Budget management skills.
- Strong ethics and objectivity.
- Great presentation and training skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical skills.
- Competence in business/technical English (written and verbal).
- Strong business acumen.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in optometry preferred.
