Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced AV Event technician to join our Workplace Operations Events Team in Hong Kong. This role combines technical event execution, AV infrastructure maintenance, and technical escalation support.

Primary responsibilities include planning and executing AV events within our offices, including setting up high-profile events in MPRs and auditorium spaces, as well as providing support in training rooms.

When not executing events, you will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance of conference rooms, AV event spaces, training rooms, digital signage, and high-level tech support needs.

This may involve assisting our Help Desk and on-site support teams with high ticket volumes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Have solid experience as a Live Event Technician, working closely with team members across APAC and supporting each other
  • Be comfortable working on high-profile events, including vision/audio mixing, camera framing, lighting, floor managing, racking cameras, and having a good understanding of sophisticated AV event systems
  • Have a broad understanding of all aspects of corporate AV needs
  • Be confident working independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment involving live events, IPTV, video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Webex, MS Teams, etc.), training room management, and general AV infrastructure support
  • Able to troubleshoot sophisticated audio, video, network switching, and control systems problems
  • Meet with stakeholders to discuss audio, lighting, and video/content requirements
  • Manage vendor activities and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure contractual obligations are met
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience completing technical installations of AV technology, including equipment rack fabrication, site preparation, termination, and calibration of audio and video equipment, and implementation of Crestron systems
  • Experience in Event Management: working with the events team to ensure each event is produced effectively; setup, test, calibrate, and commission equipment and devices as required to build a fully functional AV system in a corporate environment
  • A steadfast demeanor towards customer service
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, proven analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Flexibility and enthusiasm when assisting our Service Desk and Support Teams with trouble tickets
  • Able to demonstrate outstanding technical/troubleshooting skills
  • Experience working with high-profile guests and C-suite executives
  • Knowledge of Digital Signage, video processors, Crestron systems, and corporate AV equipment
  • Solid experience of video conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Webex, and MS Teams
  • Able to operate successfully in a global landscape and have dedication to moving towards standardization and continuous improvement of processes
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, innovative environment, demonstrating high energy, sense of urgency, and decisiveness
  • Flexibility in work hours, dictated by event schedule and business needs
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English
