**Job Overview**

We are seeking an experienced Technical Software Architectural Specialist to join our team.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Create software solutions that prioritize design repeatability and re-use, enhancing overall quality and development speed.
  • Carefully consider cost implications in design decisions to ensure informed recommendations.
  • Demonstrate a proactive mindset to identify potential technical issues, reducing technical debt and suggesting preventive measures.

**Collaboration & Communication**

  • Share knowledge, expertise, and best practices with the IT team to overcome challenges.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to junior Software Engineers, helping them understand key principles and overcome hurdles.
  • Effectively communicate across all levels, facilitating design decisions with colleagues and stakeholders.

**Relationships**

  • Internal: Development & Product Teams, Operations, Cybersecurity, Analytics (based in HK & India).
  • External: Third-party software vendors.

**Essential Skills & Qualifications**

  • 5+ years' experience in a Software Engineering role, working with JavaScript, Node, and/or Java.
  • Full-stack development expertise, covering front-end and back-end development.
  • Strong understanding of developing products that meet functional and non-functional requirements, including scalability, maintainability, performance, security, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with React, Serverless, ELK Stack, and/or Docker.
  • Knowledge of cloud technology capabilities in AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Experience with databases such as Postgres, Oracle, MariaDB.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

**Desirable Skills & Qualifications**

  • In-depth understanding of service-oriented architecture concepts, principles, and implementation approaches, including microservices, micro frontends, docker containers, CI/CD, Ansible, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) or Test Driven Development (TDD) approaches.
  • Mobile app development expertise in iOS or Android, along with associated frameworks.
  • Experience integrating different products and services using 3rd party APIs.
