Classy Wheeler Limited, a leading engineering solutions conglomerate is seeking an IT Infrastructure Architectural Specialist.

Job Overview
  • We offer a competitive salary of $110,000 - $130,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, improving and optimizing the WAN, LAN and WIFI network infrastructure. This includes managing and implementing various storage solutions such as SAN and NAS to meet capacity planning requirements.

Harnessing virtualization technologies to reduce hardware costs, improve efficiency and provide high availability to minimize potential service outages or degradations is also a key responsibility. The candidate will operate the company's email facilities and server/system infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime.

In addition, the IT Infrastructure Architectural Specialist will manage, monitor and optimize various cloud platforms such as Microsoft O365 and AWS. Protecting business data by using various backup strategies to ensure data can be recovered when required is another critical aspect of the role.

The successful candidate will design and implement appropriate technologies and security strategies to protect the IT infrastructure. Developing and implementing IT disaster recovery strategies to protect the IT infrastructure and minimize downtime and data loss in the event of a disaster is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related discipline is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years working experience in IT infrastructure is essential.
  • Strong technical skills in server and system administration (Windows and Linux), backup and disaster recovery (Veeam), virtualization technology (VMware) are necessary.
  • Experience with IT security products such as endpoint protection, endpoint detection and response, endpoint management, patching tools, network access control, data loss prevention, multi-factor authentication, email security and darktrace is preferred.
  • Experience in administering and maintaining Active Directory, Microsoft 365 (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online) is also preferred.
  • Experience with storage technologies such as SAN (HPE 3PAR) and NAS is preferred.
  • Familiarity with network and system monitoring tools (Whatsup Gold), group policy and PowerShell scripting is essential.
  • Hands-on experience in project and vendor management is necessary.
  • Proactive with a strong sense of responsibility and result-oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with good analytical and problem-solving capacity.
