Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Bank Of China (Hong Kong) Limited.

Responsibilities
  • System Administration: Provide daily system administration support for our Windows 10 and Windows 2016/2019 Server environments, including setup, backup, software installation, patch upgrades, and health checks.
  • Troubleshooting and Performance Tuning: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to system performance, capacity monitoring, and application management.
  • Capacity Monitoring and Management: Monitor and manage system capacity to ensure optimal performance and prevent bottlenecks.
  • Technical Advisory and Consultancy: Offer expert advice and consultancy services to project teams on system architecture design and implementation.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal IT audit regulations and revise technical standards as required.
  • Technical Guidance and Support: Provide guidance and support to junior system administrators.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree holder in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years working experience in Windows 10, Windows 2016/2019 Server administration.
  • Skill Set: Solid knowledge in technical infrastructure environment and experience in system architecture design.
  • Hands-on Experience: Proficiency in Microsoft Windows 2016/2019 Active Directory, Microsoft Cluster, SCCM, and middleware products such as IIS.
  • Coding Skills: Strong PowerShell scripting skills.
  • Additional Skills: Experience with Redhat KVM and MS Exchange is an added advantage. Self-motivated and willing to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Willingness to work out of office hours for urgent production issues supporting. Good interpersonal and communication skills with a good command of spoken and written Chinese and English, knowledge of Mandarin is a plus. Experience in cloud/big data architecture design, system security, ISO 20000/ITIL is an advantage. Experience in IT inventory management and IT operation automation is an added value. Good price negotiation, IT procurement, budget, and financial management skills will be a definite advantage.
