Job Description:
As a Business Analyst in the Data Services team, you will play a vital role in delivering market data-related initiatives and solutions that align with our overall strategy. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and identify technological enhancements necessary to drive business growth and success.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with users to understand business needs and identifying potential technological improvements.
- Conducting business and technical analysis on possible initiatives from both a business and technical perspective, evaluating and validating solutions for production readiness.
- Gathering requirements by understanding the business rationale and documenting them accordingly.
- Assisting in market data industry and trends analysis to inform business strategy and decision-making.
- Supporting UAT testing, test planning, training materials, and other relevant documentation.
- Assisting in project management tasks and helping to track progress and risks against scope.
- Developing and maintaining meeting minutes, project documentation, and artifacts throughout different project phases.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should possess a degree in IS/Finance/Business and have at least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Project Coordinator, preferably gained from the Banking/Brokerage/Fintech industry. Additionally, they should have good knowledge of financial products, trading lifecycles, database architecture, and system architecture. Excellent project management skills, strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills are also essential. Proficiency in written and spoken English and Cantonese, with Mandarin being an advantage, is required.
