We are seeking an experienced editor to join our team at Bloomberg Intelligence. As a research editor, you will play a critical role in helping our analysts develop and maintain their franchises by editing forward-looking, creative, and insightful financial research.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Edit short-form research to be compelling and concise
  • Edit long-form reports for story arc/narrative flow, cohesiveness, and consistency
  • Deploy strong writing, editing, multimedia, and data visualization skills
  • Handle deadline pressure in a real-time environment
  • Be a team player who can collaborate across teams and departments
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 10 years of editing experience
  • Experience editing at a financial news outlet or in the financial services industry or for a wire service
  • Experience editing or writing news or research related to equities, credit markets, or economies
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English. Outstanding written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience editing for a major wire service
  • Strong multimedia and data visualization skills
  • Good oral communication and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with the Bloomberg system
