ALM & Liquidity Management Specialist

Main Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled ALM & Liquidity Management Professional to join our team at China Construction Bank. As a key member of our treasury team, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the Bank's Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) and Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR) within limits, and managing medium to long term funding by issuing certificates of deposit (CD).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the Bank's current and future interest rate risk position and analyze alternative strategies to control interest rate risk.
  • Prepare written analysis and propose action plans to enhance profit by adjusting the Bank's balance sheet and address structural issues for Asset-Liability Committee (ALCO).
  • Coordinate the implementation of asset and liability management strategies with other executives throughout the Bank.
  • Maintain the monitoring process to ensure the successful implementation of asset and liability management strategies.
  • Develop Fund Transfer Pricing (FTP) policies and procedures, execute and monitor the FTP initiative for the Bank.
  • Participate in related IT system enhancement project.
  • Provide coaching to team members internally and maintain close liaison externally with other divisions, such as Finance, Risk Management, Corporate Banking, Financial Institutions, and Consumer Banking.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Finance, Economics, Accounting or other quantitative discipline.
  • At least 5 years' treasury or ALM working experience in banking field.
  • CPA/CFA or ECF-TM qualification is preferable.
  • Financial markets work experience; experience trading derivative markets strongly preferred.
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel, Bloomberg, Reuters, and Python knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and desire to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • A strong sense of personal accountability, and the ability to problem solve.
  • Time management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of risk management and the ability to develop execution strategies.
  • Good command of both English and Chinese, including Mandarin.
