Job Summary

The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups is seeking a skilled and compassionate Youth Emotional Health Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our youth support services, you will play a vital role in providing online counseling services to youth in need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement a 24/7 online counseling service for youth emotional health, providing a safe and supportive environment for young people to share their concerns and emotions.
  • Develop and implement volunteer services, including planning and training, to support the delivery of our online counseling services.
  • Liaise with community groups, schools, and stakeholders to promote youth suicide prevention and raise awareness about mental health issues affecting young people.
  • Conceive and implement youth emotional health activities to educate the public and promote healthy relationships among young people.
  • Perform other delegated tasks as required.

Requirements

  • A recognized Master's Degree in Counseling is required. Priority will be given to candidates with backgrounds and work experience in counseling or youth work.
  • Experience in case counseling and crisis management is preferred.
  • Familiarity with youth online culture and social media trends.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written Chinese.

Additional Requirements

  • Experience in case counseling and related volunteer training is preferred.
