We're seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to join our team at Snaphunt. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for leading our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of software solutions that meet the needs of our customers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop software systems that are scalable, reliable, and secure
  • Develop and maintain software systems that are highly available, performant, and scalable
  • Identify and prioritize areas for improvement in our software systems and lead the development of solutions to address these areas
  • Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures
  • Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base for the team
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify and prioritize technical debt and lead the development of solutions to address these areas

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related discipline
  • 5+ years experience as DevOps within 2 in management
  • Ability to program (structured and OOP) using one or more high-level languages, such as Python, Java, C/C++ and JavaScript
  • Experience with distributed storage technologies such as NFS, HDFS, Ceph, and Amazon S3, as well as dynamic resource management frameworks (Apache Mesos, Kubernetes, Yarn) ArgoCD would be great as well.
  • A proactive approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement
