The Manager will report directly to the Senior Manager and play a crucial role in overseeing the regulation and supervision of the securities and derivatives markets. This position involves conducting in-depth research to aid in the formulation of regulatory policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor economic trends and market fluctuations, as well as regulatory developments across key jurisdictions.
- Evaluate the potential impacts of these changes on the Hong Kong market.
- Engage in market analysis with a focus on identifying risks to market stability and opportunities for growth.
- Stay informed about international capital market developments and conduct relevant research to support the Division's policy and operational initiatives.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a university degree in Economics or Finance, along with a minimum of 5 years of research experience. Proficiency in policy and regulatory research is essential. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical, quantitative, and writing abilities, as well as a comprehensive understanding of the securities and derivatives markets in Hong Kong, Mainland China, and other significant markets.
Experience with research on the Hong Kong stock market and both exchange-traded and OTC derivatives markets is highly advantageous. The candidate should be a proactive team player with exceptional presentation and communication skills. Fluency in both written and spoken Chinese and English is required, with proficiency in Putonghua being a plus. CFA charter-holders or candidates pursuing CFA designation are preferred.
