Fiscal Expertise for Asia Pacific Growth

The RINA Piraeus Team is expanding its Regional Finance Management Division in Hong Kong, seeking a highly skilled Asia Pacific Fiscal Specialist to drive fiscal operations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Mission
This role focuses on developing and implementing financial plans, budgets, and forecasts, as well as analyzing financial data to provide insights and recommendations to management. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying areas for improvement, and leading tax planning and compliance efforts.

Main Responsibilities
  • Fiscal Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to ensure efficient and accurate fiscal processes.
  • Tax Research and Analysis: Conduct research on tax laws, regulations, rulings, and court cases to stay updated on changes and developments, and analyze tax implications related to specific transactions, investments, or business operations.
  • Tax Planning and Optimization: Identify opportunities to minimize tax liabilities and maximize tax benefits, advise on tax implications of mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations, and other strategic initiatives, and draft and electronically submit annual and monthly obligations.
  • Financial Reporting: Gather relevant financial and operational data necessary for tax analysis and compliance, ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements, and coordinate with external auditors during financial audits.
  • Tax Management and Compliance: Lead tax planning and compliance efforts, monitor changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and optimize tax strategies, and implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Communication and Coordination: Liaise with internal departments, external advisors, and tax authorities to facilitate tax-related activities, communicate tax requirements, deadlines, and updates to relevant stakeholders within the organization.

Educational Background
A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance Management, or Economics.

Requirements
  • More than 3 years experience in finance, accounting, fiscal sector, and tax optimization initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of management control principles, including performance measurement, cost accounting, and process optimization.
  • Proven ability to drive change and implement process improvements within a complex organizational environment.
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive consensus on strategic initiatives.
  • Project management skills, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects from initiation to implementation.
  • Adaptability and resilience in navigating organizational dynamics and driving change in a dynamic business environment.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Microsoft Power, Excel, BI, Tableau).
  • Fluency in English.
