The company connects suppliers, buyers, and funders in more than 50 markets, aiming to combine supply chain insights with financing expertise and digital technologies to provide trade finance solutions to SME exporters.

Job Overview

Air8 aims to promote sustainable financing while bridging the supply chain working capital gap. To achieve this goal, the company seeks a Trade Finance Originator to originate and close trade finance opportunities with HK-based SME exporters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Originate and close trade finance opportunities with HK-based SME exporters.
  • Tap into Li & Fung's SME supplier base to identify receivables financing opportunities.
  • Pitch and sell Air8 solutions to SME prospects, understanding fundamental credit risk principles to properly qualify sales leads.
  • Build relationships with and pitch/sell to SME business customers.
  • Work with other Sales Managers to build and maintain ongoing sales pipelines for the HK team.
  • Distribute originated trade finance assets with banks and other financial institutions.
  • Manage customer relationships to ensure smooth and excellent customer experiences.
  • Provide timely market feedback to facilitate improvements in Air8's product/service offerings.
  • Act as a brand ambassador to promote Air8's presence in HK.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of working experience in sales within the financial services industry.
  • Customer-facing experience with proven ability to pitch/sell financial products and build customer relationships.
  • Knowledge of credit risk and trade finance is desirable.
  • Proven experience in identifying, generating, and following through on sales leads.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop working relationships with internal colleagues and external customers/prospects.
  • Inquisitive and curious, with genuine interest in uncovering pain points and offering effective solutions.
  • Team player who supports wider HK business team objectives.
  • Written and spoken English is a must; Cantonese/Mandarin speaking ability is desirable.
  • Results-oriented, accountable, and resilient.
