Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Chief Data Innovation Officer to lead our data science initiatives and develop cutting-edge solutions that drive business growth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for formulating, communicating, and executing a holistic data science strategy that leverages industry best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement data science solutions that enhance our production environments.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to formulate and execute a data-driven strategy.
  • Design, implement, and test algorithms for recommendation, propensity modeling, and machine learning initiatives.
  • Work closely with engineering and product teams to deploy data services to production environments.
  • Enhance data collection procedures to optimize analytical and modeling systems.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand their pain points and identify opportunities for growth.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or Computer Science.
  • At least 6 years of experience in data analytics, performance marketing, or big data-related fields.
  • Experience working with large, complex, and multiple data sets from various sources.
  • Hands-on experience with big data components such as Hive, Pig, Spark, Kafka, Presto, and MapReduce.
  • Strong skills in SQL and Python/R.
  • Experience in AWS (Sagemaker, EMR, Glue, EKS), Google Cloud, or other Public cloud environments.
  • Preference for experience in deploying and running ML algorithms in production; knowledge of ML models and algorithms is highly desirable.
  • Working experience in digital, e-commerce industries, mobile app, and web environments is highly desirable.
  • Good presentation and communication skills; strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage your own time.
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.

Salary Range

$120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
