A publicly listed company in Hong Kong is seeking a dynamic purchasing manager to lead its procurement team. As a globally recognized pioneer in the development and manufacturing of electronic components and modules, the company serves major markets worldwide.
Job Description
The successful candidate will report to the Senior Purchasing Manager and be responsible for ensuring a high-quality and efficient vendor base. This includes maintaining an approved vendor list, strengthening supplier management, and driving cost reduction initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a degree holder with at least 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the electronics manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to secure the best value for the organization.
- Negotiate contracts to drive continuous cost reduction and alternative sourcing strategies.
- Explore local sourcing options for the Vietnam factory.
Requirements
Essential Skills
- Experience in global and PRC local sourcing.
- Familiarity with RoHS & WEEE standards and requirements.
- Knowledge of the SAP system.
Personal Attributes
- Dynamic and energetic.
- Well-organized and able to cope with a fast-changing environment.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
