Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and high-calibre professional to join our Exhibitions and Digital Business Department as a Strategic Operations Manager - Trade Fairs and Events. In this role, you will lead a team to manage resources, maintain and execute policies, procedures, plans, and systems for all aspects of operational duties related to trade fairs and public fairs in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities:

  • Formulating operation strategies and developing strategic contingency plans to ensure smooth execution of projects;
  • Preparing budget forecasts/scenario analysis, coordinating with cross-functional teams to exercise budgetary control and prepare financial reports;
  • Conducting research, observing industry trends, providing strategic insights, and identifying new development opportunities;
  • Participating in the development and enhancement of related IT systems;
  • Overseeing the full spectrum of event services, including appointment and supervision of service vendors, cooperation with venue operators, and liaising with stakeholders;
  • Implementing ad-hoc compliance measures in relation to new policies and regulations.

Requirements:

  • A university degree or equivalent, preferably in Business Administration or Accounting;
  • A minimum of 8 years' solid managerial experience in marketing/business development, with experience in the exhibition industry being an advantage;
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; fluency in Putonghua is also required;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proven track record in operational planning and execution;
  • Strong analytical and project management skills, able to handle multiple tasks with tight timelines;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities with strong leadership and team management skills.

Compensation:

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary range of HK$80,000 - HK$120,000 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience, plus an appropriate contract-end gratuity, medical benefits, and annual leave.
