We are seeking an exceptional General Manager to spearhead our regional operations, fostering a positive company culture, and mentoring leadership teams to enhance their effectiveness as business partners.

Job Description

The General Manager will be responsible for:

  • Operating under the guidance and oversight of the Board of Directors.
  • Managing daily operations, ensuring compliance with VARA regulations and applicable laws.
  • Aligning operational activities with the strategic objectives and policies set by the Board.
  • Providing necessary information to the Board for performance assessment and oversight.
  • Delivering regular reports detailing operational progress, challenges faced, and strategic initiatives for growth.
  • Developing local business plans that articulate a clear vision for short, medium, and long-term business development.
  • Overseeing financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and achieving profitability targets.
  • Cultivating a positive company culture and mentoring leadership teams.
  • Coordinating all operational functions to ensure smooth facility operations.
  • Serving as the primary representative of the company in the region, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and engaging with local organizations.
Requirements

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess:

  • A minimum of 10 years of operational management experience in the financial services sector, preferably in the fintech or blockchain industry.
  • In-depth understanding of financial practices, particularly in relation to Virtual Assets and VARA regulations.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and optimizing profitability.
  • High commercial awareness and strategic thinking, with a proven ability to set and achieve high operational standards.
  • Interest in blockchain and digital assets, with a readiness to work in a collaborative startup environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, well-organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in English.
  • Strong problem-solving, time management, and analytical skills.
  • Proven leadership and motivational skills, with the ability to foster team collaboration.
  • Ability to analyze complex local requirements and implement effective solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience working effectively in a multicultural environment.
Compensation

We offer a competitive salary of $250,000 - $300,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and a performance-based bonus structure.
