Job Title: Internal Audit Manager

Cathay Pacific Airways Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Internal Audit Manager to join our Group Internal Audit (GIA) team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the trust and confidence of our stakeholders by ensuring the adequacy and effectiveness of our risk management and internal control systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide objective assurance and independent review of our risk management and internal control systems.
  • Drive the vision of Group Internal Audit by maintaining a strong network across the business and building close partnerships with management.
  • Deliver high-quality internal audits, including planning, fieldwork, reporting, and tracking of audit recommendations implementation status.
  • Manage teams of assistant managers and/or internal auditors to deliver work and work closely with IT Internal Audit team.
  • Plan and deploy internal audit resources to ensure that audits are completed on time and on budget.
  • Conduct high-quality audits through understanding of business and risks, proper identification of issues, and timely preparation of reports.
  • Obtain relevant data and information, exercise professional judgment, and scepticism.
  • Assist the Head of Internal Audit in preparing high-quality papers/reports for the Audit Committee meetings.
  • Engage, influence, and challenge stakeholders up to General Manager level.
  • Drive change within the Internal Audit function, including identifying and implementing improvements to working practices.
  • Provide coaching, training, supervision, and feedback to internal audit team members.
  • Line management/direct appraisal of internal auditors/assistant managers.
  • Work independently under general direction, exercising initiative, independent judgment, and proposing solutions to senior management.
Requirements:
  • Relevant professional qualifications, such as CPA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent designation.
  • Minimum 8 years' internal and/or external audit experience in an internationally recognised accounting firm or organisation, with at least 3 years' experience in a supervisory role.
  • Knowledge and experience of internal audit best practice.
  • Experience of working closely with IT internal audit colleagues to deliver process audits.
  • High energy level, strong work ethic, and commitment to continuous improvement in a dynamic and changing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to work independently and in a matrix and remote environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Great stakeholder management skills, including senior management.
  • Excellent report writing skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Commercially focused.
  • Able to create and maintain good working relationships with teammates and all levels of staff members from various business units.
  • Experience in using data analytics tools and techniques.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 20%).
