Job Summary

As a Senior Wealth Management Client Manager at DBS Bank, you will be responsible for acquiring new affluent clients and identifying business opportunities through cross-selling, referrals, and personal business relationships. You will provide suitable wealth management products and services to clients based on their financial situations, promote and explain products and their associated risks, and offer appropriate solutions for a wide range of banking, insurance, and investment products.

Main Responsibilities

  • Acquire new affluent clients and identify business opportunities through cross-selling, referrals, and personal business relationships.
  • Provide suitable wealth management products and services to clients based on their financial situations, promote and explain products and their associated risks.
  • Offer appropriate solutions for a wide range of banking, insurance, and investment products, including investment portfolio reviews and cross-selling.
  • Update clients on the latest product and market information, as well as their account status, to increase utilization and product penetration, and increase clients' wallet share through investment portfolio reviews and cross-selling.
  • Comply with regulatory and compliance requirements, as well as behavioral standards, particularly those applicable to sales processes, including sales personnel's licenses and fitness, KYC (Know Your Customer), FNA (Financial Needs Analysis), PDPO (Personal Data Privacy Ordinance), anti-money laundering, and document integrity in account opening and each transaction.
  • Comply with the bank's policies, standards, operating procedures, security, and internal monitoring measures.

Education and Professional Qualifications

  • Hold a degree, preferably in a business or finance-related field.
  • Have at least 3 years of experience in consumer banking sales, preferably in high-end client service.
  • Must be registered as a RI* [regulated activity: Class 1 and Class 4], and pass the HKSI Qualification Examination Paper 1, 7, and 8; or equivalent qualifications.
  • Must be registered as a TR* [general and long-term (including investment-related)], and pass the IIQE Examination Paper 1, 2, 3, and 5; or equivalent qualifications.
  • *Licensed applicants will be an advantage; new employees without the required general insurance qualifications must pass all examination papers within three months of starting service.
  • Be able to identify potential new clients and increase clients' AUM (Asset Under Management), and generate investment and insurance product income and CASA AUM (Current Account Savings Account Asset Under Management).
  • Have a deep understanding of market trends and competitive activities in the general industry; awareness of overseas markets; understanding of personal banking business competition, reaction, impact, and creation of opportunities.
  • Have a deep understanding of clients' acquisition and service in China, Taiwan, or Asian countries.
  • Need to be fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English.
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills.
