About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Services Audit Manager to join our team at KPMG China. As a key member of our Financial Services line of business, you will be responsible for leading audit engagements and providing high-quality services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead audit engagements for financial services clients, including banks, asset managers, and insurance companies.
  • Develop and implement audit strategies to ensure high-quality services and meet client expectations.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members to ensure their professional development and growth.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, partners, and other stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and issue resolution.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure our services remain relevant and effective.
Requirements
  • Qualified accountant with at least 2 years of experience in financial services audit, preferably with a major firm.
  • Strong technical skills and ability to research accounting issues in various GAAPs.
  • Knowledge of insurance financial reporting basis, such as IFRS 17.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Cantonese, and/or Mandarin.
  • Strong business awareness and ability to identify audit issues arising from commercial transactions.
  • Team player with ability to multi-task, adapt to changing priorities, and work under pressure.
