Application Development Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Application Development Manager to lead the delivery of a new system for our Compliance division. This role will be responsible for managing the project from planning to deployment, ensuring timely and quality delivery of the system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Participate in project planning, timeline management, change management, issue management, and release planning.
  • Vendor Management: Function as a contact point for external vendors, monitor their performance, and ensure timely and quality delivery of their work.
  • Business Requirements: Partner with internal user groups to deliver requirements to the vendor and development team, ensuring alignment with business needs and technical solutions.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Review test plans and strategies with the vendor and development team to ensure functional requirements are met.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Work closely with business stakeholders, vendors, and other IT teams to build strong relationships and provide regular updates on project status and deliverables.
  • Technical Acceptance: Evaluate documents and evidence provided by the vendor and development team on system design, testing, security, deployment topology, and conformance to technical standards.
  • Project Financials: Keep track of project costs and ensure accurate financial records.
  • Documentation and Training: Create detailed documents for internal records and review documents provided by the vendor and development team for quality and completeness.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in IT applications delivery and project management.
  • Technical Skills: Concepts of infrastructure technologies, IT security concepts, and experience with automation and cloud platforms.
  • Analytical Thinking: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Communication: Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
