Job Summary:
HKEX Treasury is responsible for efficiently managing and investing the Group’s financial resources, with a focus on maximizing net investment income. Daily cashflows are proactively managed to ensure sufficient liquidity meets all cash flow and payment obligations, as well as regulatory requirements. Through its investment activities, Treasury ensures liquidity risk, credit risk, market risk and other associated risk types are within the Group’s approved risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in planning, directing and overseeing Treasury’s role in business projects, focusing on impact assessment, system changes requirements and related testing.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of project deliverables owned by Treasury.
  • Design and implement internal Treasury system setup and configurations, risk capture and monitoring in relation to projects, and coordinate with system vendors, internal ITD and users on implementation and testing.
  • Deliver other ad hoc tasks assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management or related subjects
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in Treasury and financial markets front office and back office. Candidate with less experience may be considered for an Associate position.
  • Knowledge and experience in system development life cycle and setting up Treasury product capability end-to-end, from deal capture, processing to settlement and ledger entries.
  • Knowledge and experience in FX, Rates and Fixed Income products.
  • Familiarity with Treasury systems, with experience in FIS Quantum system an advantage.
  • Awareness of settlement systems and common industry infrastructure such as SWIFT, RTGS, CMT, CMU, CFETS.
  • Professional network with counterparty banks in Hong Kong and China an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, risk awareness, proactivity, attention to detail, teamwork and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
